Fabinho

'JOSE MOURINHO wants to land Brazilian Fabinho in a £22million deal.

The Manchester United boss and highly-rated Monaco right-back share an agent in Jorge Mendes.

Fabinho, 22, has been a star in France but is ready to move to the Premier League where the Old Trafford side are looking for a proper right-back.

The Red Devils will even be happy to pay a hefty fee and wages because bigger prices help in any work permit application.

Fabinho, who had a loan spell at Real Madrid, has won four caps for Brazil but is still second choice to 33-year-old Dani Alves.

Spain midfielder Juan Mata, 28, could be headed the other way.'

I hope not.

I would like to see Fosu-Mensah brought through.

Same here, especially Varela. Being second choice to Dani Alves doesn't sound good. Anyone know about him?

Yeah - Dani Alves has won quite a few major honours at a team called Barcelona. They play in Spain for info

Dont really see TFM as a right back long-term. He will either end up a CB or a DM (where he played a lot in the Academy).

I dont see the need to splurge £22m on a RB anyway...we have Varela, Darmian, TFM, Valencia, Young, Jones, McNair who can all play there (OK 2 or 3 of those may not last long but even so....)
My old man said be a City fan...

Selection of the Brazilian national team is done as much by the media and fan groups as it is by the manager. Barcelona has a very large following in Brazil and therefore anyone playing for them is almost an automatic pick for the national team, I don't think Alves will get the nob after his latest move.
I can't believe it. I can't believe it. Football. Bloody hell.
