Griezmann

Tue May 23, 2017 6:07 am

So he's finally come out and said the chances of moving here is 6/10. I'd expect that to go to 8 or 9/10 if we win tonight but just how good is he? Could we find a better signing or is this the big one we want this summer?

This is starting to seem more likely than I ever thought it would. I really hope it's true.

let's get into a dose of reality before of few of you hurt your todgers

Having won last night every Glazer dream came true
They haven't lost the £50m sponsorship money
They don't have to refund 10% on season ticket sales that they committed to doing if we were not in the Champions league
They will now have 3 trophies to stick in the museum and stick it up every tourist for £35 for a photo
They are banging game after game on in the pre season
Added a game in Norway where they can get a fortune to the USA tour where they are getting a fortune
Now they've stuck a game on in Dublin in case there is still a penny or two in Ireland.
Proud to announce and all that

In theory they can attract any player who wants more money and is happy to move
So what's the problem
Well the problem is we need 8 players, maybe more if DDG and Martial go

Still not replaced Depay,Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin
They need a left back,centre half,winger,striker

Now we know they are going to get 2 shirtsellers and Griezmann would/should be one unless 10 pence Ed starts wanking around

Over to you Ed
Announce a £150m transfer then(notice how when United sign somebody now they put on all the possible add ons plus his wages etc to make it sound like the worlds greatest player has joined eg Pogba)

let's get into a dose of reality before of few of you hurt your todgers there's nothing wrong with being excited about a player of Greizmanns calibre possibly joining

Added a game in Norway where they can get a fortune to the USA tour where they are getting a fortune as opposed to which other clubs that aren't doing pre season tours such as ours?
Now they've stuck a game on in Dublin in case there is still a penny or two in Ireland. We Play A Preseason Game Over There Every Year
Proud to announce and all that

In theory they can attract any player who wants more money and is happy to move
So what's the problem
Well the problem is we need 8 players, maybe more if DDG and Martial go 8 is a bit much. 4 or 5 yes
Still not replaced Depay,Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin 3 players who very rarely played anyway
None of which really lit up the place when they were here. A bit of a non point

They need a left back, centre half, winger, striker agree with that. I'd probably say 2 centre halves

Now we know they are going to get 2 shirtsellers and Griezmann would/should be one unless 10 pence Ed starts wanking around if we sign greizmann are you gonna start calling him a shirt seller? We seem to constantly be upgrading from kagawa to zlatan now to greizmann

Over to you Ed
Announce a £150m transfer then(notice how when United sign somebody now they put on all the possible add ons plus his wages etc to make it sound like the worlds greatest player has joined eg Pogba) they being who? United don't control how the media report a transfer.

So the club need to spend millions in transfer, wages, etc but can't do anything that help to make more money. Anyone can help me understand the logics?

Jose Mourinho was at the Monaco Grand Prix today and Sky Sports asked him about Griezmann: "I have no idea - you have to ask Ed Woodward."

Yes,he gave his list of wants to little Ed back in March.I wonder if Bernado Silva was on the list.

I've watched him play a few times and I don't see anything special. 16 goals all season and that's in Spain. Still he will sell a few shirts I suppose.

It takes a special kind of talent to find the negative in the signing of one of the world top striker.

Rooney is a clown. And although I disagreed with Brucey about Rooney until about 4 years ago I think most of what Brucey said about Rooney was shown to be true once Rooney lost a yard of pace and his aggression.

So you cant say that he isnt the player he use to be or that he has lost his passion or something like that - you have to call the record goal scorer and one of the most decorated United players a clown?

Re: Griezmann

Thu Jun 01, 2017 10:38 am

A lot of people, most with no knowledge, have been saying Griezmann is a done deal for United
They have been saying that for several months

I have no idea what will happen but this player coming would not be a surprise.
He ticks a lot of United's required boxes of which the most important is his commercial value

The problems are likely to be over money(nothing unusual then with United involved)
What are the potential problems?
Well it appears that his current club Athletico Madrid have lost the appeal to have the transfer embargo lifted
If this is the case then they lose a player but can't replace him
As such they probably don't want to sell as this asset is unlikely to go down in value over 12 months

United could bypass that by activating the £86m release clause but as we know United don't like paying the going rate
They never have done
They don't mind telling you they have but they rarely do
With presumably a 5 year deal,if it does go ahead at say £15m a year plus add ons the club would be "proud to announce a £150m transfer deal"

The player says publically he doesn't care whether he stays,as he is happy
That is transfer speak for "i'm not asking for a transfer so don't think about not paying me my 10%"
The club is saying they are not selling which is transfer speak for don't be ow bidding
United are saying nothing which is transfer speak for "we don't care whether or not we buy him so don't expect us to pay up"
Nothing changes really
I presume this will start him off in United's commercial good books and presumably Ben will declare him a greedy shit or a little snot

The reality is that this is the wonderful world of Manchester United where everything is about timing to get maximum commercial coverage
Nothing else matters

You can drive yourself mad speculating which is exactly what United want you to do
