David de Gea

...quashes rumours of a move!

''Talk about Jose Mourinho and you're talking about a winner,' De Gea told Marca. 'Winning is United's, Jose's and my philosophy. We can make a great team and I welcome him.'

Mourinho was confirmed as Van Gaal's successor last week and his arrival has injected fresh optimism throughout the United squad with the club close to making Zlatan Ibrahimovic their first signing of the new era.

De Gea was on the verge of leaving United last September when only paperwork prevented him from swapping clubs with Keylor Navas at Madrid, but the 25-year-old has now committed his future to the Red Devils.

The former Atletico Madrid keeper was named United's Player of the Year in the last three seasons, and having tasted his first piece of silverware last month with FA Cup success, he is keen to add to his trophy collection after quashing speculation over his future once and for all.

'People talk a lot and they know little,' he added. 'I know how all this works, but what I think is disrespectful is when people start making out that it's something I have said.

'I've got three more years on my contract with United and the desire to win more titles here. When it comes to United, if you don't win everything, it's not good enough.

'This FA Cup is important for the club, it's important for the fans, and it's an important step towards winning major titles again.'

Dante:

You are confusing the Mail with a newspaper, which is absurd.

But I sure hope they are right on this one!

If this bears out it could be the best transfer business we could do this summer.

At least we won't have LVG deciding to use de Gea as a winger or something.

I'm fairly confident that de Gea will stay with Jose here. the Real fans adore Navas after this season, and it would be a hugely unpopular move to replace him now.

To be fair Van Gaal did the same. Claimed only Rooney and Carrick knows what its like to win the league

According to LVG, Mike Smalling had won nothing either.

I think he will stay this season...there will be a confidence boost for the players with the change of manager, Also, as Dante said, Navas has had an excellent season and while he isnt at DDGs level he isnt a lot worse. Perez just wanted another galactico signing..hopefully he will be looking elsewhere this summer (go get Aguero from the Berties!) :P

Aye - just heard on social media.........very serious allegations against the few players.

Funny timing in all of it to be fair but if its true - he could well say goodbye to a decent career

Top trending in the UK. Ahead of the Queen as well.

If true he is a donkey indeed. I know he nicked them donuts but I always thought he came across as quite a decent person tbh. This is something I'd expect Rooney or Giggs to do.

David de Gea remains with Spain squad at Euro 2016, says Sky sources

By SSN HQ

Last Updated: 10/06/16 4:32pm

Spain goalkeeper David de Gea has not been sent home from the country's hotel at their Euro 2016 base on the island of Ile de Re.

Contrary to earlier reports claiming the Manchester United star and two of his international team-mates had left the team's headquarters, it is Sky's understanding he remains with Vicente del Bosque's squad.

Reigning champions Spain begin the defence of their European Championship crown against the Czech Republic at the Stadium Municipal in Toulouse on Monday evening.

I was wondering in the politically correct society we're in if they'd keep him off the field while the legal process plays out. If so, how confident would you be with Romero playing every game? I personally think Romero is a fine backup and he easily leave and start somewhere else.

FWIW, hes not charged or accused of rape. Hes accused of setting up prostitutes for teammmates, who are then being accused of sexual assault forced by a 3rd "pimp" who is already in prison on other charges
