Luke Shaw

Wed Apr 05, 2017 10:58 am

Is it just me who feels like he is being made a scapegoat by Jose, to criticise him every game is unfair and yet he never criticises certain players when they have bad performances.

If I was Shaw, I would go where I felt wanted.

if it's true he isnt working hard enough in training he should get an ass kicking.Jose was right by not playing him. he's got all the potential in the world but it seems like he doesnt have discipline and determination to succeed. he's still young and i havent given up on him just yet, but i'm very very close

If I am reading this right Shaw played a full 90 on Friday night for the Under 23's against Tottenham. This was after playing 78 minutes on Monday. I hope he's ready to return after the international break.

I've not really seen a heck of a lot from Shaw to suggest he deserves to get straight into the team. Especially over the last 2 years

His time at United had been in fits and starts but if he cannot beat out Blind and Darmian for the starting role I'd like to find out sooner rather than later and get his replacement in.

Getting fitness is his main aim right now.

Im not suggesting he won't eventually be able to claim the spot, however it would be unfair on both previously mentioned players if he just came straight into the starting line-up. Especially Darmian who I think was very good at the back end of last season and in pre season but hasn't had his chance yet

I agree that Shaw doesn't get an automatic start just because he is healthy, however I think he should be given every opertunity to make the position his own. While Blind has done a good job to start the season, let's be honestly it's difficult to critizise anyone after consecutive 4 - nil wins.

Out of every player who has played this season i would say Blind at fullback has been the weakest

Probably but I'm not a fans of breaking up a defensive unit that works so far. For me the position is still Blind's to lose.

Everyone seems to be forgetting the fact that Mou just doesn't like him.

I get the feeling that like and dislike doesn't matter much to Mourinho, it's more a case of trust. He want players that he can trust to perform at the level he asks every week.

Just a thought.

This is probably it. It's the same with Martial. He has been so hit and miss Mourinho is just starting to trust him now. If you look at our starting line-up it's made up of players who will always put everything into winning. That's why he likes fellaini also I feel.
