The US tour squad

Sun Jul 09, 2017 2:47 pm

Leaving a jet plane...

GK - De Gea, Romero, J Pereira,

RB - Valencia, Darmian, Fosu-Mensah,

CB - Bailly, Blind, Jones, Smalling, Lindelof, Tuanzebe,

LB - Shaw, Mitchell, Rojo,

Mid - Young, Carrick, Fellaini, Herrera, McTominay, Pogba, Lingard, Mkhitaryan, Mata, A Pereira,

Fwd - Martial, Rashford, Lukaku (as good as holding up a jersey)

Anyone want to try and guess the depth chart?

I can't believe it. I can't believe it. Football. Bloody hell.

I will be watching the younger player closely during the tour.

Fosu-Mensah
Tuanzebe
Mitchell
McTominay
Andreas Pereira

I hope they get a chance to either prove themselves or show that they are not United material, the worst thing would be to keep them around just too make up the number. Januzaj not traveling with the squad.

Last I heard Rojo is not scheduled back until November, it would be good news if he is ready early.

Pereira is the one to watch for me - we could potentially have another signing in him if he has improved.

Not sure where else to put feedback after the games so doing it here..

Nice competitive first half..definitely tested their fitness

Great interplay for the first goal and great touch from Lukaku for the second and his first

Pogba looking masterful in the middle, great skill, vision and passing ability

MickiT looking very comfortable and confident compared to his start last season - so looking forward to him in his second season

I wish Perreira would be played further upfront but seems t be used as a holding MF? Wonder if thats not a waste of his talents?

Mctominay looked very comfortable in MF

At work so couldn't watch the match, did saw notification of Valencia's red card. Was it jozeruis that said Pareira played MF on loan?

The ref was sending a message that this was a "friendly" and the escalation of rough play had to stop. Minutes before the Salt Lake player involved had left a lot of leather on Mata and, IMO, Valencia was reminding him that level of play has consequences.

On the hole probably deserved a red.

Yes but the ref went up to Jose after the Valencia tackle while the lad was getting treatment
The ref told him to replace Valencia immediately
Jose said no so he walked back and sent him off
Very bright Jose!!!

Watched Lukaku very closely last night
He has a first touch like a rapist but he got away with it due to his strength and pace
Still early in his United career but so far not seeing anything i didn't see at Everton which wasn't £75m worth
Anyway i will wait

Mikki looking very fit and very fast

No left back and big problems at right back if anything happens to Valencia
No experienced cover at all at fullbacks
Just a patch up job

Anyway the season is still a month away and Scouse Ed is not on tour so presumably negotiating top transfer targets

So what you are saying is he is likely to go on and become our record goal scorer.

who knows

What i said it that it is early days yet to make a final judgement
In your mate Wazza's debut he scored a hat trick in a Champions league game

I realise that was not as important as last nights massive game but c'es la vie

So what do you think of Fellaini's tour so far??
Should he be captain??
