minimum goals for next season you'd be happy with...?

Thu Jul 27, 2017 5:27 pm

-for me we have to at least be in a title fight till the end. i can tolerate 2nd place but after the next season we have to win the damn thing

-CL quarter finals. i dont think we can go much further

- Fa cup and League cup wont make up for failing at CL and PL. If we win them that's fine but only as a bonus

We need to challenge for the title
At least look like we can actually win it. Show we are going to be a force in this league again. Champions league probably quarters. Again a good run is imperative after the last few years. Fa cup would be nice to win. League cup meh.

At a minimum:
4. A good run in the FA or League Cup(s) using primarily youth and squad players - quarter or semi final.
3. At least the quarter of the champions league and some memorable games at home.
2. No lower than 3rd in the league and I want us challenging up to the very end of the season.
1. I want us to be feared again, especially at Old Trafford.
I can't believe it. I can't believe it. Football. Bloody hell.

At least 2 million shirts sold... oh wait

We need to be challenging for the title and a good run in the CL, quarters or semis.

The rest of the competitions are just a distraction from what really matters.

I'd like to see us at least in the top 3 in the Prem, with automatic CL.

A good run in the CL, and ideally another cup or so in any competition.

Most importantly though, is getting a really firm basis in the team, with a more Tottenham like approach of the young ones coming through.

So a consistent plan.

OK, we have Jose, so defence is going to be the foundation to a greater extent than perhaps we like to think has been traditional, but I really would like to see some flying wingers, and our backs pushing forward.

Do we have anyone in the youth set up who's a promising flying winger?

Well, not really a winger, but a season or so on it might do him good, and if you are good enough.....

I haven't seen enough of him to know if he has a tendency to cut inside, or could do a job on the wing.

There was a young lad named Adnan something or other. Wonder where he is now

I'd still like to see young get a bit of a chance. His crossing and longish range shooting was really good. We just haven't seen much of him the last couple of seasons but when we Have, especially at left back, he's been really good imo

I agree with most posts - we need to sustain a challenge for the title - I do believe we are still short of quality to do that so the next 4 weeks of the window are huge for us.

Outside the top 4 again is unthinkable - unless we bomb in the CL group stage - we have no Europa League to fall back on.

An FA cup or league cup are nice and a trophy is a trophy but our main aim should be the League

League Title and a decent CL run
I'd sacrifice everything to win the league tbh
A World Class GK in DDG
A Quality (possibly World Class) defender in Bailley
A World Class MF duo in Herrera and Pogba
A World Class number 10 in MickhiT who seems be be more confident this season
A proven 20 goal EPL striker who can only get better
Potential stars in Martial and Rashford

Just need to sort out one or 2 gaps
- Quality CDM or work-horse CM
- Quality Winger/WB
-Could even add a Bale to that mix :P

With that, I really think we can put a really good charge for the title

TBF he does seem to have more on the ball skills than even the living legend who is Phil Jones:

Not as good at defending using his face though.

More seriously, what I noticed is that he never seems to overhit the ball, or at any rate not in the clips shown, with the ball always JUST beyond the goalie, or just strong enough to reach his target man.

He seems to have great weighing on his shots.

That is the difference between a great passer of the ball and a hit and hoper

DDG's position may be under threat.

Apparently Angel has played between the sticks in the Junior Cup!

I think a 5'6" might surprise our opponents, and on the bright side he should have no problem getting down for low balls.......
