Dimitar Berbatov

Been watching the season review and highlights of some amazing games from our 2010-11 season. Every time I think back to that season, I always think of only one man, and that's Berbatov. How fornicate incredible was he? People on this forum know how much I just loved him as a player. Without him, we wouldn't have won that title and he sure as hell showed that he can lead the frontline on a title contending team.

That hat-trick vs Liverpool remains his finest moment in a United shirt. First United player to achieve that feat since Stan Pearson did it in 1946. And that second goal was probably our joint goal of the season along with Rooney's goal vs City (seriously, they were inseparable and unique in their own right).

Berbatov was an immense talent but never really fit into the team. At another time and place could have been a United legend.

He was incredible in the 2010-11 season, easly our best player, I still cant understand why he hasnt been in the starting XI for a half of the season, and not even on the bench for the champions league final, great caracter too for not leaving after that.

Where is he now?

Saw him set up a great goal in their CL opener just couple of weeks ago. Don't follow the French league all that much.

Do you think we can consider him as a premier league legend?
He's been the top scorer in the 2010-11 season
Only him, Van Nistelrooy and Shearer have scored 3 hat trick in the same season
And he's the only non englishman to score five goals in one game

I do not think he did enough over the course of his premier league career to be thought of as a legend. He has a few good seasons, was very skillful with great technique and there are all type of reasons why he did not shine every year, but that doesn't make him a legend.

He did very well against Arsenal in a Monaco shirt a couple of days ago. It was great joy to watch him!

He's now a free agent, would like to see him back in the PL as there are strong rumours linking him with Bournemouth.
It could still be a good move for Spurs too, he would surely be a better option on the bench than Soldado or Adebayor.

I think Bournemouth would suit him but I was hoping James Wilson might go there and get some game time in a decent footballing side.

He could but I think he is better overseas in a slower pace league where he can utilized his skills.
