Footy trivia

In honour of Marcus Rashford's 2-goal debut last week, can you tell me (without googling) the name of the 2 United players who scored a hat-trick on debut?

You will all get one but I will be astonished if anyone knows the other one :P

I admit I had to google it. I don't want to spoil Ste's thread so I won't disclose it but it's a fact you either know or you don't. Never heard of him tbh. This could well be the only feat he will be remembered for though I can't be sure.

I'll put you out of your misery as no one will get it without googling.

His name is Charlie Sagar and he scored a hat trick on debut against Bristol City in 1905!

I'll get me cloak

Reviving this thread again...

On 11 September 2016 a match took place in England which was the first time "this" has ever happened in the history of European football (or more specifically European Cup/Champions League football)... this event however will be repeated on 4 February 2017. What is the "unique" event?

I will give you a big clue by telling you that the 2 teams involved were Notts Forest and Aston Villa!

Next Question

Liverpool: Daniel Sturridge, Christian Benteke, Joe Allen, Jose Enrique

Arsenal: Robert Pires, Kolo Toure, Sylvinho, Patrick Vieira

Spurs: Kyle Walker, Emmanuel Adebayor, Darren Bent, Peter Crouch

2 players have played with all these players at club level, but never at those mentioned clubs. Who are they?

First thought was a player that has played for Aston Villa (Bent, Walker, Benteke) connection, Manchester City (Sturridge, Toure, Viera, Adenauer) connection and someone who either played for Swansea or is currently playing at Stoke (Joe Allen) so went with the latter so Shay Given must be one ( Enqrique - Newcastle days)

Crouch - Stoke or Villa connection
Slyvinho - City
Pires - Villa

Will have a think about the second one

Robson is wrong actually, confused him for when Keegan was manager but they were only in the groups then anyway so it's still wrong. I'll get one more just need to think.

Whoever is the current manager of Leicester, fornicate knows his name but he is one so there's five.

EDIT: Just realised, Ron Saunders counts as well.
