Doherty was an inspired signing tbf. Scored 72 points since you signed him just before Xmas!

Despite great points for Alex and Brent, I think they're just too late to pitch for the title! Great scrap for 3rd place though. Dan lost a bit of ground to Ste due to the Alonso goal (see Bantz), and any of the other 4 could still finish 5th..or bottom!

Sorry I never got round to posting before I went away. Table now includes the city game so is bang up to date.

Alex had a fantastic weekend but has possibly left it a week too late to challenge? Even if he scored another 63 points this weekend Ste would only need 23 points to sneak it. Dan is 24 points behind Ste and so that too is going to require 4-5 goals and 3-4 clean sheets to have a chance.

At the bottom its all up for grabs with just 6 points separating Barry Max and Udit from ignominy. Only really Brent and Jide with nothing on the line although even then they are fighting for the coveted "top 4 finish"!

I imagine that I've won this, so no need to post a table to embarass everyone else.

I refer you to the Final Day Aguero Rule where any goal scored by him is worth 63 points.

So Ste's team - which I remind you all I picked most of from the scraps left after you'd all had your picks :P - holds on to win the title. Dan couldnt rouse himself for a final push and almost lost 2nd place to Alex finishing like a hurricane!

Top points scorer of the week was jide, which edged him up into 4th spot.

It was nailbiting at the bottom, with Udit just a point adrift of Max.

Overall just 130 points between 1st and last emphasises how close the league was. Udit got over 90% of the points that Ste got!

So congrats to Ste. Congrats to Alex for winning the cup and thanks to everyone for playing.

Surely I achieved my feat with the least expensive squad. Any of that info?

Interestingly squads listed in order of least money spent:

Ste £80m left [as all the signings I made for Ste were £2m top-ups)
Alex had £34m left
jide had £25m left
Dan had £9m left
Barry had £6m left
Brent had £3m left
Udit/Max spent up (yet strangely were the bottom 2!)

Hahaha. Not sure how in today's market anybody can pick any player for 2M? You should look into that.

This shows that there are two options for a good season - let Ste pick everything for you, or transfer out your shite.
