Ravel Morrison training with Birmingham

Wed Jul 05, 2017 1:59 pm

This comes with a fantastic quote from 'Arry.
“He's such a talent. His ability is up there with the best there is around.

"I said to him yesterday: 'Ravel, listen, there is only one mug in this country that will take a chance on you now and that is me'.

“I have taken him for a month on trial and said to him: 'Come and show what you can do, earn yourself a contract, don't waste all that fantastic ability, and prove to people that you can produce and behave'."

Meh. Harry is a bit of a dick tbh. That quote about sums him up. Tbf if Ravel gets his head into the game he could still be a very good player

I remember that I watched quite a few reserve games that season was it 5-6 years ago when Ravel and Pogba won the Reserve league and FA Youth cup for United virtually on their own. They were both brilliant potential and I was thinking that these two will be the players United will build around for the next 10 years and that will have cost us virtually nothing!

Fast forward 6 years and we ended up paying £90m for one of our "own" players and the other one is on the verge of ruining his professional career! Which all goes to show that predicting the future is a pointless exercise!

He's still young enough to "grow up" and turn it around, as the talent is obvious, but this must be his last chance.

The thing is he will still be living some form of high life after years of taking decent wages at second rate teams. He won't even realise what he's fornicate up on

The money will dry up eventually. Birmingham brought him for their friendly.

Such an incredible waste of talent really. His downfall for what he had been tipped for is quite astonishing.
“Bill, how would you like to be manager of the best team in the country?”
And Shankly said: “Why? Is Matt Busby packing it in?”
