They have like a hundred varieties. I'll see if I can remember which ones I've had.

Bulmers are good if you like kopperberg. Rekorderlig too.

Saying that, I'm a lager lout, but sometimes have a day on one of the ciders. I'm not keen on normal apple cider.

Stella cidre is one I enjoy, Bulmers and Magners are good too. But there is usually a very specific mood I have to be in to enjoy a cider, I don't like them too dry, but then not sickly sweet either

I've got a bottle of Glenmorangie for my birthday that is just waiting for the opportune moment.

I drink Peroni mainly, but I very rarely drink to be honest, and when I do it's seldom more than a couple.

Any day of the week that end with a "y" is good for me.

Have you ever tried Glenmorangle caramel? It's really good.

I'm trying to regulate my booze intake to weekends only (although when you have a shit day at work you sometimes can't resist). I also need to make sure I have rocks on standby.

I have not. How does it differ from the original?

The caramel has a just a slight smokey and salty flavor that tends to linger. Really does a number when taken with a wee dram.

They make limited amounts and only release it once a year. I usually find it around Christmas. And unlike most beers, its better aged for a few years.

I will have to keep an eye out on it. Although don't think I'll be able lay it down for a few years...I'll be too tempted!

My father has bought a lot of wine bottles as an investment. Seems like a good hobby to have but I'd end up drinking them...

I'm getting my moss cider tomorrow

You give them apples, they make you cider? Thats brilliant, business idea!

Exactly that, only they take a cut as well to make it profitable.

http://themossciderproject.org/

My friend has a farm with an orchard, he reckons we can harvest over a ton of apples this Autumn, that's a lot of cider. The guy at the Moss Cider Project has also agreed to supply the cider without labels so they can be branded 'Chat Moss Cider', our very own brand of cider!

*Chat Moss is a great expanse of mossland (lowland raised peat bog), known as Salford's green lungs, a stones throw from my house and where my friends farm is

That's great enterprise, that!

I think I'll give cider making a go this autumn, but with apple juice (store bought). Won't be as good as real cider, but would like to see how it compares. Also, it's a lot less expensive, so it wouldn't be a waste of money if I'm not too fussed in making my own!

Wish I still lived there, I'd love to get involved with that.

Is there any cider that isn't horribly sweet? It turns my stomach even thinking about Magners.

Gonna get myself a few wheat beers for tonight.

Visited England last week but the only wheat beers I saw were Belgian. Are there any local ones as well?
