That sounds vile. Overly sweet, stuff students drink to get rat arsed

Give me a good vodka martini or a manhattan any day of the week.

What are you lot into at the moment.
I'm into rum. Anyone got any recommendations as I don't have a clue about rum I've only drank captain Morgan's. I like both spiced and dark. Lean more towards dark

Dark Bavarian beers - Weizens, Exports and Kellers - that's the stuff I just can't get enough of!

Generally, I prefer dark ales, but here in Bavaria you can barely find any so the local brew is a must. The rest of Germany is a boring story.

Appleton Rum's the United of rums (Y)
Pretty much any of them but if you like dark rum and have a bit of extra cash try Appleton 151 Dark.

Friends from Columbia brought me a bottle of Ron Zacapa Centenario System 23. It is the smoothest rum I have ever tasted.

Tried kraken now. Think that's my favourite although I haven't really had many. My mate had some homemade sloe gin that was amazing. Could have easily necked the bottle

I have fallen truly madly deeply for scotch....I prefer the single malt to blended. Auchentoshan classic. There are other higher priced ones. Also Balvanie 12 is good and Glenfiddich 14.
Stolichnaya Vodka is my preferred drink on ice. Straight. No cherries or whipped cream.
On the Cognac side, I have fallen out of love with them but I used to enjoy Pierre Ferrand and Kelt. I haven't had them this year though....tells you something. I still keep cheaper bottles to mix with gingerale or coke. That's when am feeling sweet. Cheers

Anyone got recommendations for rum? I want to get a nice bottle to have over the winter. I literally haven't tried many at all. I don't want to be spending a ton maybe 40 quid tops although will push a little further on a recommendation.

Dark although I can't say I've really tried pale or white. I just know I much prefer Morgan dark to Morgan spiced

Hmm, I only really drink Morgans/Lambs (delete as available in the pub you are in), and looking around for recommendations just seems to turn up a lot of spiced rums, which doesn't help.
