There's also an interesting point around here on the media, take Ajem Choudry for example who influenced this attack, he was banned by mosques up and down the country and yet the media kept giving him a platform and he was able to raise his profile and reach a wider audience because he would be able to create a headline or a story.
They had him on various programs when a lot of muslims really didn't understand why he was being given the time of day.
You don't want to come across as stopping free speech but surely in these situations when people are preaching hate, you need to stop giving them such a national coverage where they are able to increase their presence.

Interesting point, but I honestly can't recall anything he said on TV or radio that could be considered hate speech. He is a despicable guy but was clever with saying just enough to stay out of trouble, dodging questions and the like.

I fail to see why this is remotely an issue. There are plenty of things that render Theresa May unfit for office - her not having children is certainly not one of them.

I don't have children. I don't intend to ever have children. That doesn't mean I'm not hugely concerned about the future.
That appears to be your biggest problem Dante. You fail to see way too many obvious things and unfortunately there isn't much I or anyone else can do.. Some things you'd have to figure them out on your own. With time and life experience. Anyone who has kids will tell you that as soon as you become a parent your outlook on life changes drastically and you start seeing and noticing things you didn't know existed before. Also you start to worry about things you considered trivial in the past. The fact that the most important politicians on the continent are no parents themselves may have something to do with their disastrous self-destructing and idiotic policies.
Complete and utter bollocks.

So you're saying someone should have kids first before holding high office?

I'm thinking he is saying people who have zero stake in future might make different decisions then someone trying to build a better world for their children/grandchildren.

Another attack in London, apparently driving vans into people is the new terrorist craze. Fortunately only one dead with 8 injured, could have been far worse. He was wrestled to the ground by onlookers after he left his van and restrained until the police arrived, so at least he didn't get suicide by cop, and he'll have to answer for his crimes.

Van and pickups, available, cheap and deadly. A terrorist dream.

Also even though it's hardly breaking news, The Henry Jackson Society is run by Douglas Murray isn't it? He's been saying this sort of stuff for years.

btw what did you think of that video I posted, did you manage to watch it in full? Was there anything you disagreed with?

I've mentioned it several times.. I moved to Canada long time ago though, but also lived in Costa Rica for 14 years. I've been back (in Vancouver) since 2013.

P.S.
I still visit Bulgaria almost every summer.. My parents live there. Heading to Europe this Saturday. Gonna spend the summer there.

LOL probably because of my nickname "Da" man ... but Ivan is a common eastern european (Russian) name. I'm from Pleven. It's in the Northern part of Bulgaria. No resorts or any major Tourists attractions there.. Did you go to Sozopol?? It's one of my favorite places in Bulgaria although it has lost it's charm a bit in the last 15-20 years.. Burgas is OK, but there are way more impressive and interesting places in Bulgaria. Oh and I'm sure you've checked out Sunny Beach.. Most Brits do, but just like Sozopol it's sort of ruined by over development

P.S.
Btw there was another bloke here in this forum who actually went to Study in Bulgaria (Christie I think was his name). He had a whole thread opened about it and I was quite active in it. You were getting along quite well with him I think.

No idea about henry jackson society.

Yes, manage to listen to it. Got to say, one of the best video i've see on this topic. I don't think I disagree with any points he brought up but not too sure about the one about moustache. Not disagreement but I'm not sure which hadith is he refering to.

A few points I like,
1. The chart he use to describe different type of muslim is so simple and accurate. I could name a name of each category from the people I know. Maybe not terrorist but the others.

2. I can't argue with the point about the raise of extremist with raise of Saudi Arabia. I see people over here that worship the saudis king. Instead of trying to more 'islamic', they try to be more arabic.

3. The phenomenon of hijab is enlighthening tbh. It make sense if I looked at what is happening around me and around the world.

4. The lung cancer analogy is brilliant. Smoking cause lung cancer but not all smokers get lung cancer.

5. There are more protest for the cartoon of charlie hebdu than the violence commit in the name of islam. This basically sum up my believe. If moderate muslim do not recognise and fight this radicalism, our effort is futile. No muslim listen to infidel.

Some points that I remember, might have more if I listen to it again.
