I was 8 years old and I used to go to watch United & City with my Dad, I adored Duncan Edwards.I suppose it was like kids nowadays with boy band members, I had come home from school for lunch and was hanging my coat behind the kitchen door when Mum told me Duncan had died. I didn't go back to school that afternoon. I still remember that day perfectly I can still hear my Mum's gentle voice and I still miss my first crush.

Thanks man. Heard so many great stories about Duncan. Really wonder what would have been if he survived....

Welcome aboard Susannah.

What a great evocative post that was.

My Dad is a city fan but he said Duncan Edwards was the greatest player he ever saw play the game. That's good enough recommendation for me, although I dont think he took his admiration for Dunc to your levels ;)
