We should be able to get past them especially at OT.

Hoping Martial gets a look in. If we carry the same form from the weekend, we could end the game in the first half regardless of who is playing striker

i don't think we can expect the same formation or tactics as vs Chelsea. They will pack defence and wait for an opportunity from free kicks, cornes.... it will be imo entirely different game.

It will indeed be an entirely different game

This is a very average Belgium team with a wide open defence
They should have been put away last week so poor was their performance but United were incapable of finishing the job so technically the tie is still open
We don't need a 5 man back line as we did against Chelsea so the choice is fairly obvious
Valencia,Bailly,Rojo and AN other(Young,Blind or Shaw)

That releases an extra man into midfield
Pogba,Herrara,I would play Mikki and Fellaini

Up front i would start with Rashford and Marial but Jose would probably start with Zlatan and Lingaard

All in all this should be a straightforward easy win

In fact there is actually no reason to be worried about anybody left in this tournament

the only thing i wouldn't want is to play the mad Turks at any stage especially a 4 hour flight for a semi final game
I hope Besiktas get knocked out

i'm sure Carrick will start in midfield, he was excellent in the first game. I expect Pogba to be rested, he just came back from injury and had an average performance vs Chelsea.

I would play Carrick and Herrera in midfield with MIki as no#10. then on the weekend Pogba and Fellaini can start a PL game.

Even tho Miki and Martial were poor lately it should be enough considering the opponent. We're over streched after injuries and stupid January transfer decisions so we must play those not in form. There's no way the players can sustain this fixture congestion without rotation. Especially after that draining pressing vs Chelsea.

on the side note, reliable french L'equipe reports a deal with Aurier has been agreed. ''Kyle Walker stlye'' RB but sadly a loose cannon

If i say what i want to i'll get a bollocking off the mods so i'll try and be gentle and work through your points
Where the hell did you think that Pogba had an average game against Chelsea
He has not had a great season but on Sunday he was part of a totally dominant midfield
Not as good as Herrara,i will agree, but one of his better games
He is a young lad and a strong one at that so two games in a week will not phase him
I don't think the injury has the slightest thing to do with anything
If he was fit enough to start at Anderlect away and Chelsea then the injury has gone
Start with him as Anderlecht can't hold his strength and trickery and pull him off on the hour when the game should be over

Carrick is unfortunately at the end.Still got a great brain and can still get forward but noticeably struggling to get back
Martial has not been as good as last season on the wing but he isn't a winger so what do you expect
Mikki has been a todger basher for many on here
He also might not have had a great season but he has had a good season after whatever it was that got up Jose's nose at the start of the season
He scores important goals in Europe and important games do not phase him

On a side note it's reported that United have got rid off the youth scouts
The French scout is joining Saint Etienne
So the reserves are in serious danger of being relegated and the club has no reserve team manager.
Now the scouts get the bullet to save money
Dear,dear dear.Where is the history

On another side note United have taken to cheap advertising for jobs
There's a few here for you United experts
https://www.indeed.co.uk/Manchester-Uni ... -Club-jobs

On a final side note it has been agreed that next season clubs can carry sponsorship advertising on the left sleeve of the shirt
Can life get any better for United.I am told they have already decided to look for a sponsor not just for home shirts but to try to find one for the two away shirts as well
Anybody know any official manure sponsors or official peanut sponsors??

LOL not even a comment during the match yet!

Well 1-0 and coasting becomes 1-1 and mass frustration on the pitch and in the stands!

Our season in a nutshell!

lame 1st half . no urgency , no passion... combined with average players like Lingard and that's what you get. Miki despite his goal is again very poor. Bring in Martial instead of Lingard and Herrera who is probably our most passionate player.

Losing Rojo is a cherry on the cake in this crap frist half

How is this the same team that we saw against Chelsea? It looked like we would walk away with this game and then at times we are hanging on for dear life.
I can't believe it. I can't believe it. Football. Bloody hell.

Herrera has to come on to crank up the tempo, only 2 subs left of course though after Rojo's injury!

Zlatan injured Martial on for the extra time.

Don't want penalties. Hopefully we can take care of business before the end

Zlatan injurey may be a godsend. He's looked v v tired the last few games whereas Rashford has been brilliant in the No9 role the last 2 games and Mourinho is forced to play him at 9 now :)

The semi finalists are:

United

Celta Vigo

Lyon

Ajax

Who do you want? Personally I'd like Ajax. Not a great side, short trip, Lyon are dangerous and we have a poor record v Spanish teams in recent years.

They are all good teams but I was really rooting for Lyon during the penalties.. Didn't want the boys travelling "to hell" again.

we are only to blame ourselves for not killing the game off and conceding that goal. hope Rojo and Zlatan would be fine and be ready against City.
