I cannot remember the last we where able to shutdown a game.
It's because of all the negativity. Any impetus to attack went away once we scored. Once with Mikhi, and the other time with Pogba, they had the ball and there was no one ahead.

Sounds weird to say this after we just reached a European final but this team is a million miles away from where a club of our size should be!!!!!

That was really a joyless performance - I could understand the negativity if we were up against Real Madrid or similar but to see us hanging on against Ĉelta and not take the game to them was just criminal.

In the end lady luck was our best player.

I should be celebrating - but honestly what I just saw leaves me dazed and confused.

If we go into the final with this mindset Ajax with just wipe us out. We are nowhere near good enough to try and shutdown a game and we should stop trying to shutdown games.

Well that wasn't pretty - we seemed very very nervous from the start and settled once we got that goal which came out of nothing. We needed to score in the next 10mins when we controlled things but this team cant finish games.........from 40mins Celta went for it and credit to them.

You could tell the equaliser was coming a mile off - Bailly with a moment of complete madness and stupidity and a heart attack job in the last second of the game.

Our biggest problem was keeping the ball - nothing stuck going forward. I cant see that line up winning the final......we just about scrapped through - lets go win it.

I pick this out as i believe Ste is our most respected contributor but for once everybody is on the same page
What you saw last night was desperation against a very average team in the most IMPORTANT game they have EVER played in
Somehow Jose managed to make it the most important game he has managed in as United's manager

I smiled when i heard "Jose's playing the way that United should" booming round the ground
Is it really?
Is this the way that United will be playing?
It is shit and is the reason for so many home draws
When will the fans and Jose realise this is not our tradition
With this squad it cannot change and i seriously believe they will not improve as much as people are hoping/demanding
We have been hearing the Ronaldo/Bale/Robben are coming shit for too many years
We will get a couple of megastar shirt sellers,or at least they will be presented as that but this team now needs about 8 quality players and
another 4 or 5 decent squad players

Still the important things at Old Trafford go on as though nothing has happened
John Alexander the club secretary got the bullet yesterday
Dressed up as "he wants to spend more time with his family and we'd like to thank him for his hard work etc etc" but he wasn't making enough money for the club with the Sponsors and was pissing Jose off with his penny pinching on the travel
Not only did the cheap plane not turn up after the Chelsea game and they had to get a coach home that took most of the night but they have turned up late for 3 games in London this season, including against Arsenal last Sunday and are now facing a serious fine.
I think he was trying to give the Glazers a heart attack
I suspect they won't replace him immediately as that costs money. They will wing it with assistants who will probably screw up last minute transfer documents like they did with DDG

On a very important note United have been designated the away team for the having a laugh final and Ajax will therefore play in the home colours
That means United can't wear red or white but did anybody notice next years 3rd strip being released this week
Clever fornicators this lot. They never sleep

Winning this is only half the battle
This team would be fodder for the Champions League which would make Jose look like a prick having said how important it is to be in the Champions League

They have struggled,in this competition against some very average teams such as Rostov,Anderlecht and now Celta Vigo
Look everybody has an odd bad game and there is an odd fluke result but when you are performing to a level over two legs in round after round and that level exactly mirrors the level you are showing week in and week out in the league you can safely presume that is the level

This final has gone from a guaranteed nailed on win barring accidents to a "i don't know" and "hope we do OK"

They way people are carrying on like Ajax is all of a sudden this super side

Celta scored 4 goals against them over 2 games in the group stage

København beat them

They scored one goal over 2 legs against Legia Warsaw (Some Polish side)

They let in plenty of goals over the quarter final and semi final legs

They are young and haven't been in a final of this magnitude - we have alot more experienced players

WTF...lets show some belief in our team

I believe that Mourinho will be able to put together a game plan that his team can execute that will take advantage of every mistake and flaw n the Ajax team. I cannot think of a better manager, currently in football, who woulf make me more comfortable than Mourinho.

Jose confirmed Romero will play in the final, despite his good performances i was hoping for DDG in the most important game of the season. He's been the best player in last seasons and will be benched for a final

Romero has played in the Europa League all season - it would be pretty wild to drop him now.

He is a decent keeper and has done well for us.

I cant see how playing DDG in the final will be fair/justifiable. Not only has he (Romero) been our keeper for the tournament, but he has been good and got us to the final with his contribution. I dont see why he shouldn't finish the job

One can only hope but the only joy I'd get from winning this trophy is it completes our "grand slam" and I think we will become only the 4 European team to win all of its national trophies + CL/European Cup, Euro Cup Winners Cup, UEFAS Cup/Europa League and the World Club Championship!

Something to celebrate at least... IF we do it!

I honestly dont understand Daily Blind. Some games he will put in a world class performance that makes you realise his reading of the game can counter his lack of strength height and pace. Then he'll put in a performance last night that almost single handedly cost us champions league football

Thank god that bald prick is possible the worst striker to ever set foot on the Old Trafford pitch

Our home record this year, is quite simply, a fornicate joke. Thank god the final is in stockholm.
