It is past time we had a women's team at United

Wed Jul 19, 2017 7:59 pm

Watching the England/Scotland match tonight, and can't believe we STILL don't have a team!

Dinosaurs queue here to decry it! :x

First thing the Glazers scrapped whenthey arrived.

No prospect of this changing without a change at the top!

There is going to be BIG money in it!

Me, I just want United to compete and win in football, men's, women's, U21, whatever.

And to follow them.

I do too, however I dont see how there will be BIG money in it..at least not for a few decades. I think I read that in the season just gone the City women's team broke a record by being the 1st women's team to have average gates of over....1000!

I think it will take off fast when the blue touchpaper lights.

Everyone goes on about soccer in the US, but the foundations for the woman's game here when people wake up to it is great.

I hate to see United not being in at the start.

Our history demands it.

BTW, lovely chip for England's 4th and the first hat trick by an England player!

Unfortunately Scotland were too crap to make a game of it.

La plus ca change.........

They should learn to at least foul more from the Scottish menfolk though.

They are already better with that ball thingy the Scottish men ignore.

I agree that we should have a women's side. We actually run girls teams, but when they reach 16, they go to other teams, or are lost to the game completely. What's the point of that? We had a keeper who was in the England Under 17 set up, but we no longer have a team for her to play in. She's left and joined Liverpool.

City only started out 5 years ago, and already are one of the best teams in the country. We could do the same.

There is an article on the BBC about United's lack of a women's team from former England keeper Rachel Brown.

Not really interested in women's football, so honestly don't care if we have a team or not.
