No Sanchez ? :)

Burnley have been the surprise package this season and are decent enough home - we'll need to start on the front foot and get at them early.

Expect a similar team that started v Stoke

I think for the first time in a long time we could see our best 11 (or what Jose reckons it is anyway) as most players are fit

De Gea
Valencia Jones. Rojo Shaw
Matic Pogba
Mata Lingard. Martial
Lukaku

Though I wouldn’t mind seeing Mata in at number 10 and Rashford playing or Rashford as a straight swap for Mata if either of those two need a rest or Jose wants to give Rashford a start.

All in all though, between those 12 players we have best 11 in my opinion at the moment.

Obviously if Sanchez comes in then it’s 11/13 and Jose can make the call on who makes way.

same line up that we've used against Stoke. it would be a tricky game as it is home for Burnley. Same old scenarios, we have ton of possession but not clinical enough. a scary 2-0 win would be good enough.

More concerned with the point than the performance at present. I would love to see an elegant, fast flowing 4 - nil win for United but I'll settle for a 1 - nil grind it out victory.

We stop playing if we didn't get the calls in our favor?! Sad reality with these players on certain occasion. We complain too much and with that it can cause us the result. i hope Jose would try to fix it. I hope we can get the goals earlier on and avoid a hard fought game.

most of the lads are poor/okayish level. scrappy 1-0 win. 3 points it is. inside the box and they didn't try to shoot, too many wasted chances up front.

All I know is we better find a place for Martial in this team if Sanchez does indeed arrive

Still not feeling Rashford. Martial has blossomed. We actually missed Shaw today I think. Amazing away fans today. Enjoyed it. Carrick and Giggs in the away end too

Rashford was awful when he came on. Poor decision making, give up possession a lot. I was getting very frustrated with him.

Playing them both, swapping sides quickly, might cause some havoc in our opponents' penalty areas. Just not sure how Lukaku would fit in.

Rashford's place atm is firmly on the bench I'm afraid.

This season Burnley have made themselves into a team that is difficult to beat at Turf Moor. They are very organized on defense without packing their penalty area, they can hit quickly on the break and have a decent enough midfield that they can apply sustained pressure. I agree with Steve about missing Shaw today. At time Martial looked handcuffed waiting for someone to make a move outside but Young was playing exactly where Martial wanted to run, his only option was to pass the ball to Young and wait for the return.

I was very pleased the Mourinho did not try to sit one the single goal lead, we did play more defensive but instead of hoofing the ball down field we ran to Burnley looking for another and that kept Burnley honest. Not the greatest performance but three point that we needed.

A comment frequently used these days to describe Utd performances is "it was not pretty, but at least we got the three points". I also saw a comment in the media something to the effect that "Utd is a rich man's stoke". As a team we cannot transition effectively and we have people ask why I always include Fellaini in the team. We do not have the set-up and players to recover the ball quickly enough to allow for a more attacking and flowing performance.

I think the fallacy regarding the box to box status of Pogba is coming to the fore. This flaw is exacerbated by an aging/tiring/slowish Matic. Pogba needs to play further forward either in a 4-3-3 or as the 1 in the 4-2-1-3.
