Get well soon,Sir Alex.

Sat May 05, 2018 10:10 pm

Sir Alex was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery for a brain haemorrhage this afternoon.
The surgery went very well but he will need extensive aftercare for a long period.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Sir Alex.
Get well soon. (l) (l)

I don't know what say at his moment other than these news are very dreadful to hear. But there are positves in all this considering the tweets from United. Given his age its most important that he survived the operation. But next 24-48 hours will be vital whether or not Sir Alex will make complete recovery and the doctors seems to be positive accoring to news reports.

But I haven't seen such out pouring of suport regarding someone's illness online since Micheal Schumacher ski accident.

Get well SAF. The club just isn't the same without out him, but at least getting to see him in the stands once in a while is a nice reminder. Hope he is back soon.

Tough as old boots. No doubts in my mind he'll come through this.

btw he's in hospital about 200 yards or so from my house! Not used to seeing that many reporters milling around aimlessly!

It is reported that Sir Alex is conscious and talking which is great news.

He was apparently discussing his (test) results with hospital staff.

I hope the results were good or they might have been given the hairdryer treatment :P

You always got the sense that he was iron man. He would never retire and nothing would kill him. It's surreal that the man is human.

No single individual will ever be able to give their club what he gave us. Not many can lay claim to be the undisputed goat of their profession.

I don't think we really were truly able to understand just how lucky we were to have him.

Let's hope he fights through this and returns to the stands

If that's true, then I'm lost for words about this (super)human being.

It's my honour to be around in your lifetime, sir! Get well and come back soon!

Sounds like he's been recovering well. Hopefully he'll be back to his old self soon.

It's weird the thought of someone who has been an ever present feature of my life suddenly not being there. It was weird enough him not being United manager, but at least he was watching pretty much every game. The thought of losing Fergie is genuinely upsetting. The outpouring of support, even from Liverpool fans was heartwarming though.
