1st film coverage of MUFC

Sun Dec 08, 2013 3:08 pm

1st recorded film footage of Manchester United from 1902 shortly after the name change... crap quality film but a historical reference which I think the Lounge should have (Y)

i don't hink they've spent any money on the ground at Burnley since that footage was taken

You'll have to scrummage around a bit but if you go to the Pathe News website they have a huge number of film clippings of Manchester United games from the 1920's onwards
They used to show them in the cinemas before the films

Nice to see BT's coverage hasn't improved in the intervening century.

Great find Ste. It's badly damaged but thats some real history there. ANyone outside the UK might be able to watch it using this: http://ukproxy.tv" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
