Jack Wheelchair is not though, which is great news.
He already announce his squad?

Awesome, rooney listed as midfielder. Wilshere is a great news though.

Other than Rooney I don't know what he could have done better. It would have been a bold move to come in and drop Rooney, but a massive gamble. Big Sam took the safe route, but you almost can't blame him, it's a no win situation.

He could have called up some 38 year old clanger from the Conference North, and insisted that honestly he couldn't tell the difference between him and Rooney.

He can at least name a different captain.

That he 100% should have done. Said he wanted to look at long term options and that would free him up to drop Rooney when he wanted.

Well what we have seen in the last few days is that Rooney is really calling the shots. He overruled Hodgson at the Euros when it came to corner duty, without consulting Big Sam he announced how much longer he will play for England and when he will finish. He even announced he wants another contract extension at United. In all of these no regard for the fact he would struggle in the Conference North at this point.

Slovakia 0 - 1 England

These are some of the worse post game comments I have ever heard a manager say.

Sam Allardyce says it is "not for me to say" where Wayne Rooney plays
"Wayne played wherever he wanted to,"
Pathetic; so Big Sam is saying he has as much influence on Rooney as the Tea Lady?

No, Rooney will listen to Doris, as he's seeing her on the side.

If he think Rooney is more qualify for the job,he should have rejected it.

As much as being made of him and Rooney I must say I thought we played quite well at a tricky place to go yesterday. I thought some of the players actually showed some passion as well. I think there's 3 or 4 changes that need making but overall we were ok.
The problem with English football however lies a lot deeper than the manager

Didn't actually do anything wrong to be honest. Foolish, but that's about it. Him getting a payout even though he'd "disgraced the FA" stinks a bit too.

If that effort was put on removing the loopholes he spoke of, there'd be no issue. It's a "sweep it under the carpet" job if I've ever seen one.
