Preview:

In terms of attack we doing very well. Scoring 20 goals in 8 games is excellent.

Burnley coming to Old Trafford and the llmomentum we building is extraordinary. Burnley will be fighting for there lives but I think we will have way too much for them.

I hope we play sanchez, Rashford and Martial. Certainly the fear factor is coming back under Ole Gunnar Solsjare.

Ole knows the Man Utd way and Pogba is like a android running and running and causing trouble.

I expect us to revert back to the team we played against Cardiff. We will. Be looking. For goals and a clean sheet to improve our goal. difference.

4th place. Might come down to goal difference. I hope we are clinical in front of goal.. We go for it and are. Very dangerous on the counter attack as well. Like the Man Utd under Fergie.

I expect us to beat Burnley the only think that can.stop this is complency so if we get. An.early goal.I can see us scoring goals if we follow our principles.

Player to watch: Marcus Rashford, golden touch with finishes that is sublime.

DDG
Young. Lindelof Bailly. Shaw

Herrera. Matic. Pogba

Sanchez. Rashford. Martial

Subs: Romero, Lukaku, Jones, Lingaard, Fred, Mctom, Mata.

PREDICTION: Home win, Man Utd to continue their winning habit with a 4-0 win due to the fire power up front.

Sanchez did well against Arsenal, but lacks a bit of match fitness, he needs more game time and looked better wher Ole played him than he ever did with Jose.
We are seeing a resurgence in the team ( or was it always there).
On our form teams will be starting to dislike coming to OT, that fear factor gives us head start, all we need to do now is ramp u the volume to what is used to be, and really intimidate them, make OT a fortress again.

Yeah I honestly think so. We will pin them back have the lion share of possessions, but if Jones plays maybe we won't.

I think we will we know we need to improve our goal difference on paper we have an excellent team but one more center back we could have an unstoppable team bearing in mind playing the Man Utd way and not the Jose way.

I wouldn't bring Jones back, play bailey and lindelof. let them form a partnership.

I have a feeling Matic might be rested for this game, February is a packed month. Maybe play Fred there.

Who knows, with Ole at the wheel anything is possible. Just realised this morning that if we do win 12 - 0 we will be in 3rd place in the league, so go for it.

Big error from him but harsh from Jones putting him in that situation.

2-2 Full time

Pogba penalty and Lindelof scores

Well, disappointing, but we fought back being 2-0 down with 3 minutes to go.

Came back 2-2: good effort, disappointing on the whole though. Can't fault the effort but we could have brought our shooting boots, and maybe reduced some of the aerial crosses as they were mostly comfortable with those

Mata came alive when he moved towards the middle as Lingard and Sanchez came on. I've said it before, when he plays as a wide forward, it doesn't work in our system - just too small and weak.

Feel sorry for Andreas

It wasn't a loss, but it will be interesting to see how the team respond now

Review

I mean first goal was a gift we could have scored more. I think the team was complacent. Rashford should have scored.

The ref robbed us with time cos he was an Extra defender and blows the whistle with 15 seconds left. A little bit pathetic defending.

I thought we'd score 4 goals and when Lingaard and sanchez came on we had more pace up front.

We need a center back and should have started Herrera coz he really wins the ball back so easily.

We need that CB then we'll be fine. Ole knows his best 11but it was a great comeback.

On to the next game. 3 more minutes and we would have won that game. I mean Pierra can't give presents away.

On to the next

Glora

Agree on Mata.
I like him, but with the power and strength of Burnley I doubted playing him and Perriera together in the team.

I blame Jones for the first goal - playing it into Andreas like that and Lindelof lost his marker for the second.

That said, grabbing a draw when 2-0 down with three minutes to go is a brilliant result.

One point is better than none. Plus Citeh lost.

Is it Just me or does anyone else really like it when opposition managers complain about how much extra time is played at Old Trafford?

Subbing Lukaku and then throwing up high balls into the box was just naïve! And yes Jones, who was touted as the next Duncan Edwards by some, is to blame for the poor ball he gave Andreas. Perreira over Herrera for me any day! Its a pity that Fred can't make it into the team.

It shows our depth is still lacking,k our 4th choice centre mid is perriera and he was at fault for the goal. We lack someone in the middle to control the game and set the tempo.

I still feel if Rashford scores the first goal (what a chance??!!) then it's a different game. He needs to be more clinical, I'm never confident with him one one one.

I'm surprised Sanchez didn't start , considering he did well vs Arsenal.

Another game at home where we haven't kept a cleansheet.. we can't expect to outscore te opponent each time. This is the type of game where you take a scruffy 1-0, but with our shit defence.. we just can't get that.

I think Ole learned a lot about his team and their traits. We broke the Burnley bus down in a five minute period if we had 2 more minutes we would have probably finished them off.

Hats of to Ole for not slaughtering his players in the media

I just watched the match in 20 on MUTV.
All the talk has been about Perreira's mistake and the first goal, but to me the shocking one was the second.

Sure, we were behind and pressing forward, but Burnley had two men in our box and our defenders nowhere near them.
A simple pass on to one of them. and an unchallenged header.

Nowhere near good enough defence.

Random thoughts

• When the game plan calls for crosses from the wings, play someone that can cross the ball. Also don’t play Mata and Sanchez against a set of trees that Burnley field if the game plan is crosses from the wings.

• When playing Lukaku up front, get the ball to him on the ground so he can run unto it rather than long balls that bounce of him. The best use of Lukaku is when he is facing the goal not with hos back to goal.

• Don’t dither on the ball, get it moving between player quickly especially when playing against teams that are putting 9-10 players behind the ball.

• I don’t think Mata can play outside in the style of play that Ole want to play.

• Sanchez may be running out of time to prove he is the type of player than United want.

• No amount of attacking play can disguise the fact that the defense is fragile and has at least one major mistake per game.
