Preview

In essence we need to revert to the full blown attacking team which I think is our best 11.

It's no secret that that other team against burnley was a bit slow. Playing with 10 men behind the ball. The game changed when Sanchez and Lingaard came on.

Of coz Burnley almost got away with there smash and grab. Just two more signings and the team is complete.

If we revert to the best 11 I'm sure we'll win this one.

Player to watch: Marcus Rashford. He'll be dissipointed at the misses and will be hungry.

DDG
Dalot. Lindelof Bailly. Shaw

Herrera. Matic. Pogba

Lingaard. Rashford. Martial

Subs: Rom, Andres, Smalling, Sanchez, Lukaku, Mata, Jones

Four changes to the Burnley lineup.
DeGea
Young Bailly Lindelöf Shaw
Herrera Matic
Lingard Pogba Sanchez
Rashford
Strong bench, I hope we do not need it.
Subs: Romero, Fred, Mata, Dalot, Lukaku, Martial, Jones

Great setup from Pogba (redundant) and a good finish from Rashford.

0 - 1

Not vintage, not classic but job done

Just shows the mentality though
Under Jose we would have called it "parking the bus" and "not the United way" but under Ole it is a great result

One flash of Pogba genius did it all
DDG played well without having to do too much.Thank goodness he has signed a new contract

Sanchez might as well have stayed in Manchester and watched it on the telly

Review

I think we controlled the game in the first half. Leicester do kick the skill players.

They started the second half well, we should have hit them on the counter with Lukaku and Martial chances.

Our passing was a bit poor but DDG and a bit more of a solid defence got us over the line.

A win is a win. Hopefully the rest will help as no mid game week.

A good win.

If City do us a favour here, we're now in a strong position to claw our way back into the top 4.

good result, nervy game.. Another 3 points..

Obviously United were far from their best but managed to win.. A second goal would've been a bonus & would've calmed the nerves down a bit..

I didn't enjoy the Mourinho style second half, but it's not a perfect world.. Thankfully we managed to hang on.. Had they equalized it would've been quite disappointing..

People say we scraped through, but in essence we scraped through again against a mid table team. The biggest flaw in our game is the central midfield and IMO getting rid of Fellaini was a little premature. We starting to win ugly again, but I suppose that's enough for some!

We scraped through against a mid table team but one which has beaten or given a hard game to the best teams in the land.
Leicester turn up against them.

And it is a bit much to simultaneously criticise us for winning ugly AND for getting rid of Fellaini, who is pretty much the definition of winning ugly!

Burnley and before them? If he epitomises ugly, why are we winning ugly without him? Read your posts before you post them!

I have no idea why you chose to adopt a snotty and contentious tone.
In any event, if you wish to discuss anything please drop the attitude.
I am most certainly not interested in your opinions on any subject whatsoever if you cannot even address people in a reasonably civil manner.

I just don't know why we can't control a game, I feel at times we just rush when we get the ball. We gave the ball away far too easily in second half..

Lindelof MOTM - he's improved so much

It appears you have a short memory.
You 'welcomed' me back to the board after an absence by getting in my face for it, and after that you have been equally objectionable on every occasion.

That is the sort of thing which works for internet heroes, as they avoid some of the consequences should they behave similarly in real life.

Not all of them though, as just as you may be familiar with people not bothering with you in the real world, that is an alternative here.

Post away with your aggressive nonsense, you are on the ignore list.

Bye.

We didn't win ugly vs Burnley though. We were a bit careless and they scored against the run of play - after that, I saw what I haven't seen for years: SUSTAINED waves of pressure. Yes - we drew but TBH I enjoyed that. They hardly reached the halfway line
