I's say both centre backs were at fault for the second.DaveMart wrote: ↑Tue Feb 12, 2019 10:15 pmBT Sport commentary saying Matic at fault for the first goal for assuming the ball was DDG's
Bailly at fault for the second, as for some reason he slowed down instead of getting into a position to cut out Di Maria's cross to Mbappe.
Seems fair comment, watching the replays.
That was a very honest assessment by him, it outlined our frailties at this level, and proved that Ashley Young is past it at this level, Di Maria had him taped, and yet again he proved that his crossing is woeful when he is tired, and to be honet he was knackered after the first ten minutes.
So you missed the bit where Lindgard and Martial had to be subbed at half time ?raycreative wrote: ↑Wed Feb 13, 2019 7:31 amNice and easy to sum up
PSG without 2 key players took us apart
As usual our cenre halves were not not to be seen at key moments.Whichever combination of Jones,Bailly,Lindelof and Smalling you play they are just not good enough
Jones and Smalling need no explanation so why they have long term contracts is beyond me
Lindelof has clearly not improved despite m,any saying he has and Bailly has a mistake or two in him every game
We still need TWO CENTRE HALVES
Young was taken apart by Di Maria
He was done for pace a few times by a few PSG players
I guarantee you he will not get any faster
We still need A RIGHT BACK
More worrying for me was both Ole and Pogba
Ole possibly showed us why he got the bullet at Cardiff
Against a top team and a top manager he was very naieve
PSG man marked Pogba the entire game and Ole did not try to change anything. It was like he didn't expect it and was unable to come up with a plan B
As an example i watched United play Spurs a few weeks ago
Spurs got their tactics wrong in the first half and United ran riot
At half time Poccetino changed the formation and United ended up hanging on
Ole had no way of changing the formation
Pogba never got a kick and looked the Jose Pogba.
He sulked and his head went down and finally he was s ent off
Is it possible that Pogba is not a big game player.Just a thought
Don't get me wrong.PSG are a very good team but this was a dicking
I don't think we had a shot on target and without some very good DDG saves it could easily have been 6
This tie is dead and over and we got a lesson
It shows how far away we really are
Jose must have enjoyed watching last night as will Pep
The good news is that the ground was buzzing and the West stand looked like the Boxer uprising
The stewards couldn't get the stand cleared at the end of the game for Chinamen with straightened hair, dyed red, talking selfies and smiling
Not a bad night at all in the world of Glazernomics
So where does this team go from here
Wait and see
**Footnote. Now wait and see for the Lovely Man,Sigmar to come on and give a positive spin about how all will be well iin the summer after the new manager is given hundreds of millions of pounds to spend ***
