Preview:

This is the first away game of the season. In honesty I would have liked to have this on a Saturday coz we have a good away record on Saturday.

What can you say about wolves they showed some ambition, did spend and had a goal correctly ruled out by VAR.

I think our home form will be key. We had a slow start against Chelsea and finished off with a forourish. We probably have the fastest attack in the prem.

The Chelsea game we were a bit slow controlled 16 minutes in the first half and most of the second half.

Wolves game is a potential banana skin but having a solid back line is the key. I can see us not making the mistakes of last season and confidence will be high.

Player to watch.: Harry Maguire, The English rock was impressive and he will be important.

DDG

Wan-Bassi Linderloff Mac Shaw

McTomy Matic

James Pogba Martial

Rashford

Prediction : Away win. 0-2, Manchester United to build up more momentum.

I was thinking 3, but we will probably score the extra goal. I hope we do run riot.

I can't see it being a 4-2 -3 -1, we played far better iwth a 4-4-2 it gave us a lot more options on the break, and strethed Chelsea wide, we need to do the same against Wolves.

Another interesting game
Wolves beat us easily twice at Molyneux and gave us a good game at Old Trafford
Having already played a few games in the Champions league qualifier and having had to travel they might be feeling it a bit
A good chance for a confidence booster for us bur as last game there is no result that would surprise me
Possibly a draw

This is a dangerous, dangerous game. I'm not sure any team had an easier time beating us than Wolves did last season.
How?

1. Midfield superiority - they simply controlled affairs in ways we couldn't match, and from the transfer season, and evidence against Chelsea, that doesn't look to have changed. What I do hope is that where we couldn't get close to them, our better fitness this year enables our players to pressure them into more errors.

2. Our Poor defence - this has thankfully changed, and could hopefully swing the advantage our way.

Interesting looking forward to tonights game

We already have the back 4 which is Shaw,Lindelof,Maguire and Was-Bassaka
They should/will only get better and i wait with anticipation against a fast Wolves team on a wet oitch

The midfield is where you might get changes
Clearly Pogba will start and i suspect MacTominay although i still don't see too much in him
But who else?
Perreira has already shown we are wasting our time so is it Matic,Mata or Fred or Jesse to do his headless chicken impersonation
Up front it can only be Rashford and Martial

Once again a half decent looking first X1 but not much behind

This is going to be the problem if we do get off to a good atrt which is people will become tolerant

The close season was half a step in the right direction and has toughened the defence but still a lot more to do for me
First get DDG signed up
Second plan for life without Pogba who will leaving at the end of this season
Thirdly get a strong tackling midfielder
Fourth get another forward
A long long way

Lots of possession, but not cutting through so far.

This is not the over folks! I wish we could have put them to sword while on top. It's been a very decent performance. A bit more cutting edge is needed up front though.

Not sure what James was on diving and getting a pointless yellow. There's VAR now anyway so really, what's the point?

Yeah but he was diving outside the box so VAR won't get involved.

I really don't understand why change the penalty taker. Anyone can miss but just stick to one penalty taker.

We are jinx with work wolves they put a curse on us

Things we learned about tonight
We have improved since last season and could possibly challenge for fourth
James is a boy playing among men as suggested by this poster at the start. He has a long long way to go and diving won't help him
McTominay is indeed Tom Cleverly mark 2 and can't play a pass forward nor can he tackle
Mata can no longer change a game
If we defend like we did for the Wolves goal we will be 5th or 6th.The defending was embarrasing

I honestly don't get the furore around the pen. Used to happen all the time - even here. Last season when Rashford stode and grabbed the ball, even when he might not have been the designated taker, he won praise. It's because Paul is such a polarising character that this is becoming a circus. Rashford could just have easily missed.

This is the annoying thing about the prem - overly biased towards English players. Discussions around penalties have happened all the time. Personally, I would have preferred that Rashford take it, but Rashford didn't seem to argue too much. In fact, it was Dan James who seemed to be the most vocal about the situation.

Now the BBC is reporting Pogba has been subjected to racial abuse on Twitter. Seriously? He won the pen anyway

Daniel James in the match against Wolves showed that he is better than Andreas Pereira and should play at the start XI

I thought we were going to get stuffed when I saw that we were only playing a two man midifeld, so I think they did brilliantly to control the game so well, especially in the first half.

The penalty from Pogba was not awful and took a decent save, but his record at pens is not great, presumably Ole is trying to butter him up to stop him moving, but I would rather see Rashy as the penalty taker.

No idea why we wasted time substituting two players in the 89th minute, it was like we were trying to see the game out instead of pushing for the win, the subs should have happened far earlier as jesse had a poor game.

It took a great strike to score against us though, and we were slightly unlucky to only get the draw.

All worth it if Alexis shoves off though.

Pereira has shown nothing and there is not a hint of him showing anything
To compare him against James means nothing
James has shown almost nothing so a pointless discussion
