We're a much better team with Williams bombing down the left than that lump of lard

He's our best player on the ball, but he also needs space and time against a side not doing much. Norwich are one of the few teams we've played this year who have offered that

Mata now plays at testimonial pace
He is a quality player but his legs are gone.
Yesterday was one of the few games it would have been possible to use him in
I suspect that should he play next weekend against the scousers he won't get a kick

A lot like Wazza
I watched his first game for Derby.
Quality cross field passing but couldn't do much else. And that was a division down and mid/low table at that

Mata never really had pace anyway did he?

Given our struggles against teams who we can't counter, it seems to me Mata's reading of the game and ability to pick a pass could be the key to unlocking those defences.

Basically play Mata against bottom teams who will happily surrender possession and defend deep, and we have a chance; but not against any team looking to go toe to toe with us.
