It was signed by Fred Attock in 1893
Fred is believed to be the first chairman and founder of the football club.He was the superintendent at the railway works and he could see the team play on North Road by looking out of his office window
enjoy
Thanks Ray - make me feel young.

I can't believe it. I can't believe it. Football. Bloody hell.

Hi guys, it's been a long time since I last posted here.

I was looking on Google recently and last year, Google Street View scanned the area where the plaque is located. For some reason they've blurred out where the plaque is most visible (probably because they don't want to advertise it or something), but at other angles it's clear as day. I was surprised that Google were allowed to access that area, given that it's not public property and the tight security at Fujitsu.

I went back July last year. Good to see it's still there four years later! :)

Here's a programme from my collection for the game between Newton Heath and Everton played on 15th April 1889.
It was a friendly.
Newton Heath(Manchester United) played at North Road from 1878 to 1893 so this game took place whilst North Road was still United's home
